In a medium size saucepan saute the diced onion on medium heat. De-glaze with a bit of water and continue stirring to prevent from burning. Add a pinch of salt and continue cooking until the onion is slightly translucent.
Add the spice mix and green peas followed by the water and cook covered with a lid for about 20 minutes or until the millet is fully cooked. Continue to stir occasionally and adding more water if needed.
