Who doesn’t love a quick chocolate treat? I call this one “quick individual chocolate soufflé” because like soufflé it is airy, fluffy and very chocolaty. This is an individual portion of “black velvet” cake for a quick dessert to satisfy your sweet craving. You don’t have to be a great cook or a chef to make this one and all you need is 1 minute!

This is a great quick treat for kids too. When you make your own dessert you can control the ingredients, unlike store-bought dessert. This may not be the healthiest food but it still doesn’t contain and preservative and other ingredients hard to pronounce, which are found in processed foods. The texture of this little cake is light and fluffy! You will be amazed that it only cooks in under a minute.

Serving Ideas:

  • For additional flavors try switching up the vanilla extract with other flavor extract
  • If you’re a coffee lover, add 1 teaspoon of espresso to the mix and some coffee flavor extract for intense flavor.
  • Try drizzling some peanut butter on top before serving or some vegan vanilla ice cream for a sinful perfection.

Instructions
  1. In a small ramekin mix together well the flour, baking powder, cocoa, salt & sugar.
  2. Add the vanilla extract, coconut oil and non-dairy milk and mix well. Make sure to mix completely so there is no flour left at the bottom. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  3. Cook in the microwave for 50 seconds. Be careful removing as the ramekin will be hot.
